*REVIEW the FAQ PAGE BEFORE SUBMITTING APPLICATION
pay and apply:
Before meeting any of our adoptables, an approved application must be on file. After submitting payment, complete ALL of the required field in the application. Information must be complete and include phone numbers. *Incomplete applications will not be processed. If undecided about which dog you are applying for, please indicate “pre-approval” or the breed you’re interested in on the application and we will help find a match. You will receive an email response, whether approved or denied, within 5 business days of submitting application. We match our adoptable dogs with potential families whom we feel would be the best fit, not first-come-first-serve.
Meet and greet:
Once approved, potential adopters will receive an email with instructions on coordinating meet and greet. Meet and greets are to be scheduled within 48-hours of notification of approval. Dogs can only be held for up to 48-hours, or up to 5-days with a $50 non-refundable deposit.
At the time of the meet and greet, if the potential adopter(s) decide it’s a good fit and they want to proceed with adoption, they are expected to take ownership at that time. The adoption paperwork is completed/signed and the adoption fee is collected.
If uncertain, the dog is held for up to 24-hours afterward to allow potential adopter(s) to decide. If they wish to proceed , arrangements will be made for the dog to be picked up, sign paperwork, and collect adoption fee at that time.
If the dog the applicant applied for has already been placed, the application will remain active for one year from the date of approval and will not need to re-apply within that time.

During the adoption, all medical paperwork and Certified Vet Inspection (CVI) is provided to the adopter, and copies kept on file with LRBDR. *Unless indicated otherwise, ALL future medical expenses, including vaccines, spay/neuter, dentals, etc. are at the expense of the adopter.
