Step 1: Applicaton

While meet and greets can be scheduled without an application filled out, we cannot guarantee a dog will still be available if an approved home comes along first. So we recommend you have an application on file! You do not have to commit to the dog, or a specific dog, to keep the application on file; but this will allow us to hold the dog for your meet and greet once approved!

Meet and greet

After an approved application has been accepted, and you are ready to meet your potential adoptable, the next step is the meet and greet! While photos can be a wonderful depiction of a dogs personality, we want to make sure that you feel that connection, and feel it will be the best match for both of you.

Step 3:

ADOPTION! If your application has been approved, you have had your meet and greet with your potential adopter, and you feel you will give him/her their loving home, next is the adoption paperwork! This is a short process, but ends with you going home with your new best friend! All medical paperwork will be transferred over to you, and copies kept with us incase needed. ALL dogs will go to their new homes with up to date vaccinations for Distemper, Parvovirus, Bordetella and rabies (Rabies vaccination is done at 3 months and older). ALL dogs will receive a certified vet inspection (CVI) performed within 30 days before adoption. ALL dogs will be given preventatives for fleas, ticks, and worms. ALL dogs will be microchipped. ALL dogs will be spayed or neutered if 3 months and older. ALL doges will have a 4DX/Heartworm test if 6 months and older. But most importantly, ALL DOGS WILL BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!

Adoption fee for Little Red Barn Dog Rescue residents UNDER the age of 6 MONTHS is $350. This includes all available vetting.
Adoption fee for Little Red Barn Dog Rescue residents who are 6 MONTHS and OVER is $250. This includes all available vetting.
